Supporting our local Foodbanks this Advent
During our journey through Advent students across the school have been collecting donations for our two local foodbanks; Hebburn Helps and Bede’s Helping Hands. Over 600 items of food, packets and non-perishables have been collected over the past three weeks and are being delivered today. Students undertaking the Pope John Paul II award have been instrumental in organising and promoting the food collections and packaging it all up. We also held a competition to create their food items into a model and the winning form was Mr. Chinchen’s 12H3 who packaged their food into a Thomas the Tank train!
Thank you to all our students, staff and parents for helping us to live out Catholic Social Teaching by doing all we can to ‘love our neighbour’.
