Today, 16 students undertaking the national Faith in Action award in year 7, attended a special in-school retreat with Chaplain Adam.
The theme of the retreat was ‘spiritual journey’ reflecting upon challenges and highlights of our life, overcoming adversity and how we can grow spiritually. Students engaged in liturgical dances, spiritual games like ‘capture the Bible’, freeze frame drama on the book of Ecclesiastes, we examined the case study of Carly Ruhnke, who has overcome some real hardships in her life. We also created our own spiritual rollercoasters reflecting upon our own spiritual journey through life before closing with a liturgical candle-lit prayer.
Thank you to all involved and well done!
