On Tuesday 25th April we had a visit from British Army Padre deacon Power, who is an ordained Catholic deacon and commissioned Army Chaplain. Deacon Power was interviewed by Year 10 students about his vocation and ordination as a Deacon, his training and ministry in the British Army and his role in setting up a charity supporting orphans of the Ebola pandemic in Sierra Leone.
Deacon Power also led a beautiful service of Word and Holy Communion in our school chapel for some of our KS3 students too. We are very grateful for the support of Deacon Power and the British Army Royal Chaplains department for their support of our students in exploring religious vocations and leading us in Collective Worship.
God bless
