As a school we are passionate about supporting those most in need whenever possible. Your generosity in supporting the social action projects that we run here at St. Joseph’s is always overwhelming and I want to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for the fantastic difference you make to the lives of those most in need in every appeal.
Every Christmas we run an appeal for our local foodbank Hebburn Helps – an absolutely fantastic charity supporting those in the greatest need in our local area.
We would like to ask any student, staff member or family that can to support our foodbank appeal by picking up any extra tins, dried packets of pasta or noodles, soups, cereals, biscuits or toiletries that you can when you are out shopping. Baby products are also greatly appreciated, such as nappies, formula milk and wet wipes. There are donation drop off boxes at each entrance at our school where students can drop off their food and all items donated will be quarantined and stored safely in-line with COVID regulation by our Chaplain so that they do not enter school before being delivered to the foodbank.
Last Christmas we managed to donate a phenomenal 970 individual items of food to Hebburn Helps and this year, given the even greater pressures families are facing due to COVID it would be amazing if we could match this donation or even exceed it. Once again, thank you so so much for your help in advance. We are humbled to have such a generous, selfless and thoughtful community who always support us in our social action projects. Thank you once again.
God bless and thank you.
