On Monday 4th November 2024, we were blessed with a visit from Newcastle Street Pastor, Paul Waugh who came in to talk about his vocation as a Street Pastor.
The Street Pastor’s are a multi-denominational team of Christians who go out on the streets of Newcastle to put Jesus’ commandment to ‘love thy neighbour’ into action supporting those who are cold, who become ill or disorientated on Friday and Saturday nights in Newcastle. Paul explained how they are not there to evangelise, rather to ‘serve’ as Jesus commandment, putting faith into action and being the love of Jesus to all those in need. Paul has been a regular speaker in our school over the past three years and we are really grateful to him for his commitment and support. Our Faith in Action students have decided to fundraise to support the amazing work that they do.
